GUU are the new psychedelic sensation emerging from Bandung, Indonesia. Rooted in the city’s thriving alternative scene, the band brings a distinctly Indonesian identity to contemporary psychedelic music, blending experimental textures with influences drawn from local culture and traditions.

Rather than treating these influences as separate worlds, GUU let them naturally collide. Psychedelic rock forms the foundation, but their music reaches beyond familiar genre conventions through rhythmic patterns, melodies and Indonesian atmospheres. The result is colourful, immersive and at times unpredictable.

Their first conceptual EP, Folivora, introduced GUU’s musical universe and their fascination with storytelling and transformation. Across the release, the band offers a first glimpse into a broader creative world that continues to develop with every new release and performance. With a debut full-length album set to arrive in 2027, GUU are now preparing for their next chapter.

Already tipped as one of the exciting new names to emerge from the Asian psychedelic scene, GUU have caught the attention of figures including Go Kurosawa of Kikagaku Moyo.

2027 will also mark GUU’s first European tour, introducing one of Bandung’s most exciting new psychedelic acts to audiences across the continent for the first time. With a distinctive visual identity, an adventurous approach to songwriting and a sound shaped by both their cultural surroundings and a global psychedelic movement, GUU are ready to take their world far beyond Indonesia.
